On July 5 2012 Skylar Neese was brutally murder by her so called best friends, Rachel Shoaf and Shelia Eddy. In the first few weeks or months no one suspected to actually look at the two best friends for Skylar disappearance. When the investigator first looked into this case the first impression was that Skylar ran away, but if she ran away she would have token things she need but instead she was planning to come back. On the night of July 5 2012 Skylar had sneaked out to hang out with her bestfreinds Rachel and Shelia. Skylar's dad David Neese went into his daughter room in notice she wasn't there.David called his wife in told her that Skylar wasn't home, David also called Shelia and asked was she with her but Shelia said she hadn't seen her . David then called the police and made a report on his 16 year old daughter and said she sneaked out last night in he haven't seen her since. Shelia called Skylar's mother and told her about what happen she said that they all sneaked out and went for a nights drive and smoked pot and that she dropped back home before midnight. The break in the case was when Rachel had a break down she was sent to a mental facility. Rachel came clean about everything she told that they planned this for month , and they stabbed her in her back together on the count of three. Their motive of killing her was because they didn't like her. Rachel then lead the polices to where the murder took place in Blackville. They found body remains in sent them to a lab to be tested and it came back that the remains were indeed Skylar's Neese. Rachel Shoaf was sentence to 30 yrs. in prison for her cooperating with the cops to get Shelia to confess. Shelia Eddy was sentence to life with parole in 10 yrs. These girls are vicious , they could of told Skylar they didn't want to be her friend anymore instead of killing her in cold blood.

Skylar Neese, Sheila Eddy, and Rachel Shoaf were inseparable high school sophomores. Everything seemed to be great amongst them, but everyone failed to notice the strains on their friendship. On July 6, 2012 Skylar Neese's parents discovered that their only child was missing. Police investigators immediately pointed out that it was most likely that Skylar had run away. Her parents thought it odd that if she had run away, why hadn't she taken any of her essentials. No one would have guessed her two supposed best friends had murdered her just twenty miles away. The only reason the two killers were discovered, was because Rachel Shoaf confessed to the murder. She could no longer take the guilt of having killed Skylar, and helped police find the body in order to incriminate Sheila of the murder too. They were both treated as adults in court. I believe that in the end, they both got what they deserved. A person simply cannot murder someone because they don't like them. This is a lesson to everyone, to never trust anyone.

On July 7, 2012, Skylar Neese was murdered by her two best friends, Rachel Shoaf and Shelia Eddy. Earlier that night, Skylar, unaware of what was to come later, snuck out of her house around 12 a.m to accompany her best friends parked in a sedan outside her apartment. After driving around town for almost an hour, they parked outside the city limits near a woods area, where Rachel and Shelia both began stabbing Skylar to death with knives.
Without a doubt one of the most outrageous criminal acts I have ever seen/ heard. I can only imagine what Skylar must have felt seeing her two best friends come at her with knives. I mean killing a girl, whose supposed to be your best friend, just because you say you don't like her is by far worst than anything I've come across in a crime. If you don't like the girl, just tell her and end the friendship, simple as that. There's no reason to kill in a situation like this. Rachel Shoaf and Shelia Eddy are deserving of the punishment they received and may Skylar Neese rest in peace.

Skylar Neese was just like many other teenagers. She had friends she was inseparable with, good grades, and a job that she never missed. That's why when her parents woke up to her being gone and her friends hadn't heard from her and then she didn't show up for work they knew something was extremely wrong. At the beginning the police had little evidence, only a grainy surveillance tape of her leaving, and a screen off of her bed room window which provided her a way out. At first, the police didn't look towards Skylar's best friends but when they kept asking questions they noticed that their stories didn't match up. They finally started to look into the friends and found little but one girl was finally pushed to her breaking point and told the police what happened.
What shocked me was how long it took the police to look into the last people with Skylar before she went missing. It seemed like they gave them a pass because they were teenagers and they seemed to be grieving friends. The sheer brutality and malice of how they stabbed her to death because they didn't like is something that escapes me. How someone who used to be friends could turn and do something so brutal and heartless to anyone, much less a friend just scares me. It scares me how unstable people can be.

  5. It occurs to me how Shelia and Rachel tried to convince her to sneak out in the middle of the night to ride around town and smoke marijuana. The crime made it obvious when the one of the girls started counting to three as she started turning around. We ask ourselves why would they do something like that but only the two girls have a answer to that. Was this crime attempted out of jealous or was it a conflict throughout their friendships. One of girls were starting to go crazy through month by month until she confessed to second degree murder and Shelia and Rachel were now sentence to prison of second degree murder.

This article is mind blowing, why did Sheila and Rachel murder their so called best friend? Skylar and Sheila have been best friends since they were 8 years old. How can you be best friends since you were little kids to end up killing them when you're a teenager? Just because you don't like someone anymore doesn't give you the right to take their life away. Rachel and Skylar met in their freshman year of 2010 and instantly became friends. It's fortunate that Rachel couldn't live with the guilt that she was trying to hide and confessed, because if she didn't confess she and Skylar could still be living life like nothing happened. What I don't understand is why did Sheila get life in prison with parole in 15 years while Rachel ended up getting 30 years because of her confession? This premeditated murder was done by a team so therefore both girls should get the same sentence.

Skylar Neese, Shelia Eddy, and Rachel Shoaf were three best friends that lived in Morgantown, West Virginia. Evrybody thought they were so innocent but really they were nothing but wolves in sheep clothing.Until on July 6, 2012 Skylar Neese's parents found out that she wasnt in her room. Day by day flyers were put up and calls were made if somebody knew aninformation about whats going on with the Neeses little girl. But slowly the they found out that the girls were holding something back and they wasnt telling the truth. After the guilt had built up inside, Shoaf was the one to confess to murdering Neese. Shoaf and Eddy had stabbed Neese to death. Shoaf was sentenced to 30 years in prison and later be transferred to adult prison. Eddy was arrested a little after Shoaf in a restaurant parking lot. She was sentenced to life in prison. It was a possibility that she could get put on parole in 15 years. She was also charged as an adult. I was always taught that just because somebody smile in your face doesnt mean they like you or want to be around you.

Skylar Neese was clearly betrayed by her two best friends. in the month of july 2012 Skylar Neese went missing. The main piece of evidence was the surveillance tape. Later in the case clues found cracks in the best friends story. That made Shelia and Rachel suspects once again. The lies about where they had been, a failed polly graph test gave them doubt about previous statements giving by the teens. This gives me reason to believe Shelia Eddy and Rachel Shoaf had something to hide. The stress was so much. They turned themselves in. This case was the true definition of being unfriended.

Skylar Neese was killed by two high school girls who she though were her friends. Skylar went missing on july 6, 2012, her parents found tha she was not in her room. her parents were devastated and wanted to know why she was missing. Police investigators discovered a surveillance tape that captured Skylar entering a car and driving away. investigators also wanted answers from the other two best friends to get a little Intel on what exactly what happen to Skylar Neese. investigators noticed some errors in their stories, this made Shelia and Rachel vital suspects in this mysterious case. days later, Rachel finally confessed to the to the police that she and Sheila had killed her. Why would two girls do this her, what did she do to deserve to be killed. one day those two murders will get whats coming to them.

Sklar Neese, Shelia Eddy, and Rachel Shoaf were three best friends that lived in Morgantown, West Virginia. Their Facebook photos showed that they loved spending time together, no one suspected that they had problems towards each other. But on July 6,2012 is when Sklar Neese's parents found out that she was missing from her room one night. Six months after her being missing, police begin to think and start looking for Eddy and Shoaf as suspects. After the guilt had built up inside, Shoaf was the one to confess to murdering Neese. Shoaf and Eddy had sentenced to 30 years in prison. Eddy was a possibility that she could get put on parole in 15 years. She was also charged as an adult. They were wrong for what they did to Sklar Neese. If they didn't like her anymore, they should have talked it out not kill her!!

This is really ridiculous. I hate this happened to that poor girl, Skylar. Instead of killing her wouldn't it have been easier to just talk or work it out like normal teenagers. If they were truly best friends they could have done that, right? I'm glad that Shelia and Rachel are going to serve some jail time and I hope they learn from this. But I still grieve for the parents, relatives, and friends of Skylar.

Best friends are not always who they claim to be. In this particular case, best friends will stab you in the back. Skylar Neese was a 16 year old sophomore in high school. Skylar had an active social life and a part time job at Wendy's. She had two best friends, Racheal Shoaf and Shelia Eddy who would betray her. On July 5, 2012 Skylar Neese didn’t return home from sneaking out with her best friends. There was evidence that Skylar snuck out of her room. The evidence was a bench outside her window, screen removed from her window and a surveillance video. Since Skylar got in the car willingly they didn’t issue an Amber Alert. The police then started questioning her friends. When they questioned them their stories weren’t adding up. On December 28, 2012, Rachel Shoaf begins to have a nervous breakdown and then confessed that her and Shelia killed Skylar Neese simply because they didn’t like her. Later, she led the police to where Skylar’s body was. I believe that both girls should feel bad and regretful about what they did. If you don’t like someone why would want to kill them? I think they should never be able to get out of prison. This case teaches us that the people that is the closest to us could be the ones plotting behind your back to hurt you.

It is crazy to think that her "best friends" would be able to do that to her. This just goes to show that even the people you trust most can and most likely will stab you in the back to better themselves. In all honesty, I would have reacted the same way the father of Skylar did only worse. I probably would have killed those girls. It really surprised me to see them act like they were genuinely grieving over the loss of their friend when in reality they stabbed her simply because they "didn't like her."

Sklar Neese, Shelia, and Rachel were three best friends that lived in Morgantown, West Virginia. Their Facebook photos showed that they loved spending time with each other and no one suspected that they hated each other. July 6,2012 is when Sklar Neese's went missing from her room one night. Six months after her missing, police begin to ask Shelia and Rachel if the night Skylar went missing was she with them. Rachel told police that her Shelia and Skylar went on a joy ride and smoked marajuana. After the guilt had built up inside, Rachel was the one to confess to murdering Neese. Rachel and Shelia have been sentenced to nearly 20 years in prison. They were kith sent to a juvenile center until they turn 18 which is sometime in the next couple of months and then they both will be sent to a women's prison. Shelia possibly could get put on parole in 15 years. Both Rachel and Shelia were charged as an adults. I for one believe that Shelia and Rachel were in the wrong for murdering Skylar just because they didn't like her. There had to be more to the story. I think that something in her journal was one of the reasons they killed her because they didn't want her to tell everyone their little secret. I'm glad both girls are serving time for their crime.
